Indian cricketers and their fastest cars

Indian cricket has had the longest winning streak in the world cup breaking all the records. The team has won 10 out of 10 games to reach the final of the 2023 World Cup. The well-established and one of the best-paid sportsmen of the Indian team owns some pretty fast cars. Here is a list of such cars that they own.

Hardik Pandya

Lamborghini Huracan

Pandya did a great job during the world cup but he is currently waiting it out on the bench due to an injury. A few years ago, he bought a Lamborghini Huracan.

The Huracan sold in India is available in multiple variants. It’s imported as a completely built unit (CBU) from Italy. The base trim is powered by the 5.2 liter naturally aspirated V10 petrol engine with 571 Bhp of peak power produced at 8,250 rpm and 560 Nm of peak torque produced at 6,500 rpm. This motor powers the rear wheels of the supercar, and is paired to a 7 speed automatic gearbox. It can go more than 325 km/h if pushed to the limit.

Rohit Sharma

Lamborghini Urus

The Indian cricket captain is taking some tough and great decisions this world cup. Off the field, he has made a great decision too and bought a Lamborghini Urus, which has become the fastest selling Lamborghini ever.

Rohit’s Lamborghini Urus is truly eye-catching with its stunning blue color. Interestingly, he has another car in his garage, a BMW M5, also in a different shade of blue. It’s evident that Rohit has a fondness for the color blue, which is further emphasized by his roles as the captain of both the Indian Cricket Team and the Mumbai Indians IPL team, both known for their blue-colored jerseys.

Under the hood of the Urus lies a powerful 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine that delivers its highest state of power. With a maximum power output of 650 PS and a peak torque output of 850 Nm, this engine is paired with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. The Lamborghini Urus is available in India with prices starting at Rs 3.55 crore.

Shreyas Iyer

Mercedes-AMG G63

Iyer is playing a wonderful game during the World Cup. He scored a century during the semifinal against New Zealand.

Similar to Hardik Pandya, middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer is the proud owner of a Mercedes-AMG G63. However, his G63 stands out with its slightly lighter shade of silver. It is powered by the same 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine, which generates an impressive 577 PS of power and 850 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The G63 AMG comes equipped with a four-wheel drive system as standard.

KL Rahul

Mercedes-AMG C43

KL Rahul, known for his exceptional wicket-keeping skills in this world cup, has been doing a fantastic job behind the stumps. In the year 2018, he purchased a white Mercedes-AMG C43 sedan. The car is equipped with a 3.0-liter V6 engine that generates an impressive maximum power output of 348 Bhp. Interestingly, when he took delivery of the car, he was recovering from an injury. His picture with the car went viral when he shared it on social media.

To celebrate his remarkable test cricket triple century, Karun Nair decided to treat himself to a red Ford Mustang adorned with a “303” number plate. The Ford Mustang has emerged as a popular choice among both celebrities and the general public in India. Ford launched this iconic car in July 2016 and has sold approximately 200 units since then. Initially, Ford introduced the top-spec V8 GT variant of the Mustang in limited quantities. The Mustang GT boasts a powerful 5.0-liter V8 engine, delivering an impressive maximum power of 396 BHP and a maximum torque of 515 Nm. In India, only one variant is available, which features a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

Mohammed Shami

Jaguar F-Type

Mohammed Shami has become a popular name amongst cricket enthusiasts throughout the country, particularly following his remarkable performance in yesterday’s match. The Indian fast bowler demonstrated exceptional consistency in bowling, continuously acquiring wickets for his team. During the first semi-final match against New Zealand, Mohammed Shami showcased his skills by claiming 7 wickets, including that of Daryl Mitchell, who scored 134 runs.

In the picture, Mohammed Shami’s Jaguar F-Type, which he purchased a year ago, can be seen. This car is a CBU model, which explains its pricing. It’s a two-door sports car entirely manufactured and imported from England. The car features a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder supercharged petrol engine that delivers 295 Bhp of maximum power and 400 Nm of peak torque. It’s paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission as standard. This rear-wheel-drive sports car boasts an impressive top speed of 249 Kmph and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 5.7 seconds. Jaguar also offers a more powerful version of the F-Type, which features a 5.0-liter V8 supercharged engine.

Virat Kohli

Porsche Panamera

Virat Kohli has been setting new records in the ongoing World Cup. He has recently achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first cricketer to score 50 centuries in the ODI format, surpassing the previous record held by Sachin Tendulkar. Apart from his cricketing achievements, Virat is also a proud owner of an extensive car collection that includes remarkable vehicles in both Delhi and Mumbai. Out of all his cars, the fastest one is the Porsche Panamera Turbo located in Delhi.

This incredible sports car is equipped with a powerful 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine that produces an impressive 550 PS of maximum power and 770 Nm of peak torque. Its 8-speed PDK automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels, allowing the car to accelerate 0-100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, which can further be reduced to 3.6 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono Package. The Porsche Panamera Turbo has a top speed of 306 km/h and provides a perfect blend of speed and practicality.
