Andrews sets Ravens record, Bateman scores 49-yard TD vs. Giants

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Tight end Mark Andrews staked the Baltimore Ravens to an early lead on Sunday against the New York Giants and made franchise history as well.

On third-and-goal, Andrews caught a 13-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Lamar Jackson with 3:18 left in the first quarter. It was Andrews’ 48th career touchdown, which surpasses running back Jamal Lewis for the most in Ravens history.

Andrews celebrated by pointing to Jackson and then giving him a chest bump.

His record came after the roughest start of his seven-year career. He didn’t have a touchdown catch in his first five games. But Andrews has now reached the end zone eight times in his last nine games.
