Maruti Suzuki India Limited is gearing up for the launch of the all-new fourth-generation Swift. The launch is slated for May 9, and the company has already commenced the official bookings. However, prior to its launch, pictures of this new hatchback at a Maruti Suzuki dealership have been shared online. In the pictures, the new Swift and all of its changes can be noted in detail.

It starts with the presenter mentioning that these are the first-ever pictures of the new Swift at an Indian Maruti Suzuki dealership. The pictures show the front, side, rear, and interior of this new hatchback.

Front
At the front, what we can observe is that the overall design has been kept the exact same as the international model. It gets the same sleeker-looking LED headlights with L-shaped LED DRLs. It will also get halogen bulbs for indicators.
Apart from this, the grille is finished in high-gloss black with a honeycomb pattern. It also gets the Suzuki logo outside the grille. Additionally, we can also note the LED fog lights. The front also gets a black diffuser on the lower section of the bumper.
Side Profile and Rear
Moving on to the side, it can be noted that the overall silhouette matches the international Swift. However, there is a slightly different design for the alloy wheels. It gets a set of 16-inch 10-spoke diamond-cut alloy wheels. Apart from this, it also gets the more traditional-style door handles for the rear.
A high-gloss black C-pillar adds to the premium floating roof appearance. As for the rear, the new fourth-generation Swift will come equipped with a set of clear C-shaped LED taillights. These look a lot more premium than the outgoing model.
Additionally, it will get a rear wiper, washer, and defogger along with a small high-mounted stop lamp. We can also note that the rear camera has now been placed on the boot lid instead of the bumper. Lastly, there are 4 rear parking sensors as well.
Interior
Coming to the interior, the hatchback will get the same dimensions for the rear boot. It will also come with 60:40 split seats. The pictures then show the dashboard layout of the new Swift. It will come equipped with a 9-inch Smartplay Pro infotainment screen.
Most likely, it will also come with wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay. The major difference that we can note in comparison to the international model is that there will be no dual-tone option for the interior. It will only come with an all-black interior with grey elements scattered throughout the interior.
2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift: Powertrain
The new Swift will now come powered by a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z-Series petrol engine. This engine will also feature a 12V mild-hybrid system. It will produce 81.6 PS of power and 112 Nm of torque.
Transmission options will be between a 5-speed manual and an automatic. Now, whether this automatic gearbox will be an AMT unit or torque converter has not been reported as of yet. Additionally, this new powertrain will help the hatchback in increasing its fuel economy by 3.34 kmpl. It will now offer 25.72 kmpl mileage.
