Mahindra launched the Bolero Neo+ 9-seater SUV in the market a few days ago. The SUV is actually an extended version of the Bolero, which was already on sale. The price for the Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus starts at Rs. 11.39 lakh, ex-showroom, and goes up to Rs. 12.49 lakh, ex-showroom. It is offered in a base P4 and a premium P10 variant. Here we have a video that shows what Mahindra offers in the base P4 variant of the new Bolero Neo+.
The video has been shared by Exploring Desi on their YouTube channel. In the video, the vlogger shows how the Bolero Neo+ looks on the outside and inside. The car, as mentioned above, is available in 2 variants. The car seen here is the base P4 variant. The SUV gets gloss black elements on the front grille, sleek-looking halogen headlamps, a body-colored bumper with no fog lamps.
The SUV’s design is similar to the Bolero Neo, which is already on sale in India. The major difference is the overall length. Coming to the side, you realize it is a longer SUV, and the P4 variant comes with manual ORVMs, turn indicators on the fender, 16-inch steel rims, squared wheel arches, and blacked-out door handles with a black strip that runs across the length of the SUV.
At the rear, the SUV gets two rear parking sensors, a 16-inch spare wheel with an X-shaped cover. We see P4 branding on the right-hand bottom of the tailgate. On the left-hand top corner, we see Bolero Neo+ branding too. The door handle for the tailgate is also finished in black. The halogen tail lamps can also be seen here in the video.
The vlogger then opens the tailgate to show the boot space. As this is a 9-seater SUV, there is no boot space as the last row gets two side-facing bench seats. Mahindra claims that this seat can accommodate 4 people, but we feel that is not going to happen. The bench seats can be folded individually, and that would create a lot more space for luggage.
As this is the base variant, the SUV does not come with any features at all. The Bolero Neo+ comes with textured plastic on the door pads. The inner door handle is finished in black. The car comes with a dual-tone color for the dashboard. The steering wheel is a three-spoke unit and is tilt-adjustable. The analog instrument cluster comes with an MID in the center. This is not a color display.
The car does not come with any kind of infotainment system. The SUV has all four power windows, and there are ample numbers of storage compartments. The seats are finished in a dual-tone and are wrapped in leatherette type material. The first and second-row seats get adjustable headrests. The third row gets butterfly windows and so on.
Coming to the engine, the Bolero Neo+ uses a bigger engine when compared to the 5-seater version. The Bolero Neo uses a 1.5-liter diesel engine.
The Bolero Neo+ comes with a 2.2-liter turbocharged diesel engine which generates 120 PS and 280 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Mahindra will soon be launching the XUV 3XO in the market by the end of April.
