Just a few days ago, Tata Motors commenced the deliveries of the new Safari and Harrier facelift in India. Since then, many people have received deliveries of their new SUVs, and now they are sharing their views on ownership. Recently, a video of an owner of one of the first delivered Tata Safari facelift Dark Editions has been shared online. The owner reveals why he chose to buy a Safari facelift over the Toyota Fortuner, a full-size ladder-on-frame SUV.
Tata Safari Facelift Over Toyota Fortuner: Owner’s Perspective
The video of the Tata Safari facelift owner sharing his ownership experience has been posted on YouTube by Automotiv17 on their channel. It begins with the presenter introducing the owner of the 2023 Safari facelift Dark Edition. The presenter initially inquires about when and how the owner planned to get the new Tata Safari facelift and what other options the owner had in mind. In response, the owner explains that this is the first Tata Safari facelift delivered in North India, and he purchased it on the 17th of September, the same day of the launch.
Subsequently, he mentions that they initially planned to buy a Toyota Fortuner. However, they changed their plan upon hearing that a new facelift for the model would be released the following year. Shortly after, he adds that they then redirected their focus to the pre-facelift Harrier, for which they were offered a substantial discount. However, upon learning about the imminent arrival of the new facelift, they halted the process. They then considered the Harrier facelift and ultimately settled on it.
Following this, the dealership sales representative recommended they wait for the new Safari facelift to arrive. The owner mentions they followed the advice and examined the new model. Consequently, they promptly decided on the new Safari facelift and ordered the Accomplished+ Dark Edition model with automatic transmission. He further stated that they are extremely pleased with the new car thus far.

Shortly after, the presenter showcases the new Safari facelift Dark Edition from the outside. The new SUV features a completely redesigned exterior with a distinct front end from the Harrier. It now boasts a completely new front grille, LED headlights, fog light setup, and a new bumper as well.
The presenter then exhibits the SUV’s side profile, highlighting the larger 19-inch alloy wheels finished in high-gloss black. Mentioning the increased wheel size, he notes a slightly reduced sidewall, potentially impacting ride comfort. He asks the owner to confirm this, but the owner reports no discomfort on the roads. Instead, he mentions that the ride is extremely smooth due to the newly tuned suspension.
Subsequently, the presenter and the owner take a seat in the interior of the new Safari facelift Dark Edition. The presenter showcases the new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and the new 10.25-inch digital instrument gauge cluster. He also notes the addition of ambient lighting, touch-based air conditioning controls, and a new steering wheel adorned with an illuminated Tata logo.
